It’s been a busy month…especially the last 3 weeks.

I’ve been to Orlando and Stone Mountain with BigStuf Events to do events for Chick-fil-A, built a set for Southside Church, programmed lighting for Southside and New Hope North & South Campuses, started a new job as Warehouse Manager for BigStuf Events, produced GroupLink twice for Southside Church, trained to be an editor for Nam Nguyen Photography, kept up the weekly responsibilities at Heritage Christian Church, and tried to spend time with Jenn at home.

A couple of my friends are always asking me how I do it. My answer is always the same and to me it’s simple:

I use my calendar. I have to or I’d be in BIG TROUBLE.

Let me show you what I’m talking about.

Now that August is over, we’re in Perdido Key, Florida for Labor Day, but come Tuesday, it’s back to the daily grind and a busy life!

I have heard this piece of a sermon delivered by Dr. S. M. Lockridge in 1976 at concerts, at youth events and in sermons many times over the last decade. I heard it again last night at North Point Live. I love this and the audio is even better than just reading it. It speaks for itself.

My King was born King.

The Bible says my King is a seven-way king.

He’s the King of the Jews; that’s a racial king.

He’s the King of Israel; that’s a national king.

He’s the King of Righteousness.

He’s the King of the Ages.

He’s the King of Heaven.

He’s the King of Glory.

He’s the King of kings, and He’s the Lord of lords.

That’s my King.

Well…I wonder, do you know Him?

I just watched a message by Craig Groeschel. The series is entitled “At the Movies” and this message is based on “The Bucket List” with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson.

“4 LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered, and that my life is fleeing away. 5 My life is no longer than the width of my hand. An entire lifetime is just a moment to you; human existence is but a breath.” Psalm 39:4-5 (NLT)

“12 Teach us to make the most of our time, so that we may grow in wisdom.” Psalm 90:12 (NLT)

There are a couple of questions that I am asking myself right now, and this message put even more emphasis on them:

1. What does God want me to do to change the world with my Bucket List or what’s on my God list?

2. What would I write down? What are the things that really, really matter to me and to God?

My prayer:  God, give me the power to do the things that last…the things that matter to You.
